The former has a quicker charge and less damage, the latter the opposite. Seliph’s high Def has the benefit of being able to convert into extra damage when activating either Bonfire or Ignis. For Assists, Swap can help move Seliph into a good position to defend a unit and get them out of trouble, but Draw Back and Reposition can help Seliph stay out of trouble. Seliph’s default Silver Sword has the highest base damage available at 4* rarity, though it does not have any special effects as a result. Increasing his Def or Atk with a Boon is great since one allows him to take less damage when physically attacked, which he prefers, while the other is a flat damage increase. As such, lowering his Res further with a Bane is ideal in a sense since it will be his least used stat.
